The incident happened on Wednesday evening, Oct. 25, when the Putnam County Sheriff's Office responded to a suspicious incident at one of the county's school districts, authorities announced.

The specific school involved was not identified by authorities.

Arriving sheriff's deputies learned that a vehicle's window had possibly been damaged by a weapon. Upon further investigation though, authorities determined that the window had been damaged while the car was being driven far from school grounds, the Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies also learned that the driver had stopped at the school in order to report the incident.

The investigation into the incident is still ongoing. However, authorities do not currently think any criminality was involved, according to the Sheriff's Office.
